stomach laying / sleeping

ok, i posted about this months ago but now that I have a real bump im a tad bit more worried ... i wont hurt this child by laying on my stomach, right? I can literally feel the baby moving when I lay on my stomach but it isnt at all uncomfortable ... should I not be doing this? I remember everyone saying "you will know, it will be uncomfortable" but I dont want to cause any irreparable damage before then Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: stomach laying / sleeping

I stopped sleeping on my stomach the day i had my BFP. I was just paranoid.

I'm SO JEALOUS you can still sleep on your stomach! ugh i'm so uncomfy at night. I maybe sleep for an hour a stretch before waking up and rolling over to another position like a beached whaleChat Icon

Re: stomach laying / sleeping

its funny because i alway sleep on my side and then all of a sudden when i got my bfp i started sleeping on my stomach. Now at 19ws i sleep on my stomach with my leg rise and angled to ache my stomach but its becoming out lived. i feel the flutter and movement more on the tummy and i cant get myself on myside.

I am dreading the day or actually night that I have to stop sleeping on my stomach. I am only 9 weeks (tomorrow) and there is no other position that I can sleep in. I am going to try and stay sleeping on my stomach as long as possible--unless told otherwise!

I can't believe you are comfortable Karin! Get the snoogle and fold it like a circle so your belly doesn't actually lay on anything-KWIM?

Re: stomach laying / sleeping

I still sleep on my side/stomach. I sleep with the bottom leg straight out and the top leg bent at the knee, so I am not crushing my tummy but still comfy.

The baby is so well protected in there and if she were really uncomfortable I know she'd kick and complain Chat Icon

You'll be surprised - I was never ever able to sleep on my back (well sort of sitting up) until I was pregnant. Now I'm so tired I can fall asleep anywhere, anytime - even the car!

Re: stomach laying / sleeping

I have been sleeping on my stomach too, but it isn't as comfortable as it had been. I am only 12 weeks. I think if I am really bloated it is uncomfortable. It feels like I am laying on a balloon.
