One of DS's daycare teachers is leaving today

She's is one of the two main teachers in the room but she's only on DS's side in the mornings (she usually takes the older kids 15-18 months).

I still want to get her something... she really seems to like DS and he really likes her, even though he's only been there for 1.5 months. Plus she is really nice and helped DS out a lot when he was having trouble adjusting.

She's moving OOS so I can't get her a restaurant GC or anything like that, I don't know what she will be near.

What would you get? And I was thinking it should be worth about $25... is that enough?

Starbucks or Target? Even a bouquet of flowers would be nice. Honestly, teachers like heartfelt letters the most.

BJ's or Cosco usually has cute gifts. A gift of hot coco with a mug and different flavors, something like that with coffee, lotions, flowers, etc.

That's sad! I would be so upset if one of DS's teachers left. He really is so attached to them and gives them a huge smile when I bring him in the mornings

My DS's main teacher is leaving too - today/Friday is her last day. I got her a flip photo album from Kohle's that says Memories on it, scrapped a simple Thank you cover with all of the kids in the room names on it, and put a few pics that I had of the kids in it. The other teacher is going to take photos today and print them out and fill the rest of the book up.

It's very sad - my DS has been with her for like 6 months and loves her. :(

If you do a gift card try an Amex card or mastercard

I just moved and I can tell you how much those types of gift cards were treasured. You may not know the stores she's going to have around her, she may not either.

Generic GC are so much easier to use.

Personally I have only one Starbucks near me and its actually a pain to get to.

Target is relately popular but there's other regional stores that are better stocked for stuff I like around me.

Having moved just recently, I highly suggest gift cards. (Amex/Visa) She does not need to pack one more thing!
