Anyone ever refinance with BFCU?
Wondering how the experience was? I have used the credit union for over 20 yrs. and never had a real problem and am now in the process of doing a mortgage refinance with them. Thanks :)

Thanks so much. The loan officer seems very nice. He has offered to lock in a rate today but I simply can not afford the extra $1,000. I am hoping by doing this refinance, we can actually pay MORE towards the balance so it won't be 20 yrs.

Us too - wonderful experience.
They put our rate lock on our CC and we got it back at closing. Ask about that.

The loan officer did indeed say I can put it on a cc so I am going to do that tonight- The only problem is I have 2 cc's that I am getting paid off so I am going to put it on one that I do not use so it will just go back to a zero balance. THANKS :)

Good for you! We only did a 45-day rate lock - I refused to pay the extra $$ for 60 days. We closed within the 45 days so we didn't have to get a rate extension.

We did the 45 days also as he said the process should take 30-40 days to complete. I sent him all the paperwork he requested yesterday so hopefully this will happen fast :)
