Re: Is there such a thing as an EASY toddler?
Well, there's always the CHANCE of winning the lottery, so I guess there's a CHANCE at having an easy toddler, right? I wouldn't know what an easy toddler is. It never existed in this house. However, I will say this: once we set up some strict ideas of what we wanted her behavior to be like, we really saw a drastic drop in her crazy toddler behavior.

Posted by Diana1215 I mean, right now, he is eating ketchup with his fingers instead of the food that's on his plate. I feel like I may go insane!
This is T's favorite meal She is def not an easy toddler - she is high energy but I love that she is so curious. She can be the devil one minute and then the sweetest thing the next, so you are definitely not alone.

Re: Is there such a thing as an EASY toddler?
my ds was the EASIEST thing ever..not ONE tantrum, i never had to leave a restaurant with a crying screaming kid that wouldnt sit down and behave..or leave anywhere else in general.. if we said "no" he knew the answer was "no" and didnt really think about asking again.. and to be honest, he is STILL this way, at 11, he is very even keeled..he does challenge my desicions now, because he is VERY advanced and very intellectual so he thinks he always has the answer, but for the most part i couldnt ASK for an easier more respectful kid..
as far as dd..well that one isnt a toddler yet, but she is gonna put me in the ground..i can tell already.. i used to honestly think it was the parenting of some kids that "let" them get that way..but i parent my kids the same and shes just SOOO different then he was.. Im hoping
is another angel, i cant take two lil devils at once lol

Re: Is there such a thing as an EASY toddler?
I have two toddlers and I want to pull my hair out! My son especially is a PITA! He is moody and loves to throw himself on the floor. I made the mistake of taking the bus the other day and I was the person everyone was staring at! J decided he didn't want to sit, he wanted to stand and walk around the bus. Well, you just can't do that! Needless to say, there was screaming on his part and a stiff body as I was trying to put him in a seat!
He will walk from now on!
ETA: my daughter is much easier and more laid back!

Re: Is there such a thing as an EASY toddler?
Every child will have their moments. Putting these moments to the side, I most certainly have friends whose toddlers are MUCH easier then mine. In our case, DS has smaller moments/days where he is absolutely fantastic and easy going. But I would say at least half of the time he is whining or demanding something, playing too rough or being a wise guy. And it's not like he's not disciplined. He will get time outs/toys taken away and he will correct his behavior.... for a while. But then something else will set him off. I don't mean to make him sound like a beast, because I really do enjoy him and think he has a great personlaity (he's a jokester and an entertainer at heart) but he's just not the easiest child in the world.

I'm sorry but I can totally picture the stiff body situation
