Gerber onesies are perfect for my tiny but long torso-ed baby!!! lol!
Useless stuff:
No scratch Mittens
Hats
Shoes (Ann has the tiniest narrow feet still)
Clothes for the wrong season, dressy clothes or real "outfits" (she's pretty much a onesie and pants kinda kid if not feety pj's)
Sleep Sack
I'm sure there's more because her closet is filled to the gills with stuff not being used.

The crib. Once in a very rare while I would use it as a containment center while i cleaned up - but they never slept in it. It was ornamental!
With Robbie I never used a paci - although I had 1500000000000 of them. Robbie rarely used the swing and Noah HATED it. And side snap tee shirts. For some reason my mom and sisters LOOOOVED buying me these.. but I always preferred onesies.
And the diaper genie. I just preferred using the regular garbage and changing the liner.

I had WAY too many onesies and receiving blankets. Boppy covers also, you really only need one, or at least we do. Hats - my DS was a summer baby and I never used any of the newborn hats. Mittens either.
Also to the new moms to be - don't be like me and only check out and register for one type of bottles - I only reg for the Playtex Drop Ins and my DS HATED them...so I had to spend the very tired and weary first couple of weeks trying different kinds until he took to the Ventaires. I guess it's trial and error because you won't know what they like really but just check them out....I didn't do my research, I just figured it's a bottle he will drink from it..didn't happen that way at all!

one more to add for me
baby jeans and expensive outfits... my bil loves giving ds jeans, i mean 5-6 pairs for every holiday and birthday... he never wears them except for the random occasion where we are going sort of out... and forget the 100 dollar polo jogging suit that lasted 10 minutes as it had a metal zipper and created a huge gash on ds's face

Oh, just to add, a friend of mine who has two boys said-
Gerber onesies are the worst
Bottle sets are a waste because DC might be picky

Gerber oneises are awful. They run really small and IMO, the quality is terrible. Carters onesies are much better.
I got a bunch of bath toys that I haven't used. I also got a lot of teething rings as gifts. I never opened some of them and DS doesn't like the cold ones that I did open. I had more receiving blankets than I ever needed. I used the swaddle me a few times, but DS didn't like it and seemed to break out of it pretty easily. I also got a couple of brands of bottles in case DS didn't like one. He ended up doing fine with the first brand we tried so I have several brands of bottles that I never used.
ETA: I got a Bundle Me as a gift and it's still in the package. I had a Posh Pouch that I loved and used instead.
