BM Paint

I am looking for a tan/beige color with gold/yellow undertones. We don't want the room yellow, more light tan with a hint of yellow.
I have sampled monroe bisque, shaker beige, putnam ivory, bar harbor beiege, and yosemite sand.
I am leaning towards the monroe bisque, but it may be too yelowish any other suggestions?

Re: BM Paint

I have BM Quincy Tan in my living room. First I painted it BM Great Plains Gold and hated it because it had such red undertones so I re-painted it with Quincy Tan the very next day and I love it! Definitely NO red undertones.

Re: BM Paint

that is a nice color! My living room & dining room do not get too much light due to the direction my house faces, so I need something that won't "darken" it. Do find that color darkens the room ar brightens it? Thats why I thought maybe a yellow undertone would brighten it up a bit?

So funny Monroe Bisque was our front runner for our hall/entryway and once it went on the wall it was way too gold. We did BM Oakwood Manor which is a nice beige with a hint of gold...it's very subtle but still showcases our box molding. We found many of the BM taupey shades had fleshy undertones.

Our front hall:

Re: BM Paint

After reading your first sentence I immediatly thought of shaker beige. It is defintely tan, but clearly has yellow undertones. I will say though, that our living room has a ton of natural light coming it, so the yellow may come out more for us than it would in a different room.

Re: BM Paint

I will try the oakwood, it seems to have just the right amount of gold LOL. I am nervous about the Monroe being too goldy, so thank you!
