So when do you consider it 'cutting a tooth?"
Like, when do you note it in the baby book that your DC got their first tooth?
Riley's is seriously coming through! You can see the very top of the tooth appearing...and you can feel the ridges!!!
So...do I mark it in the book today? or do I wait til you can see it when she smiles? TIA!

YAY!! Thanks! The one right next to it could be coming soon too! She's super early- just like Mommy and Daddy were. She just turned 4 months!

Re: So when do you consider it 'cutting a tooth?"
I considered her as having a new tooth when I could feel it. Before then, I considered it coming in. But I also never kept track of dates of teeth.

Re: So when do you consider it 'cutting a tooth?"
As soon as it breaks through the gum they've cut the tooth.
Go Riley!!!! She's so little for a tooth. Emme didn't get one until 11 1/2 months old!! They are SO much more pleasant once the tooth cuts through. All the pain goes away!! Congrats Riley!!
EDIT - As soon as it cut through I marked it in her baby book.

same here. when I could feel it and when it looked like this( #1 at 3 months old):

and my #2 (at 4 months) loved when I rubbed her gums while she was teething. I was rubbing it one day and felt it cut through and poke me. So I counted that day as the day. It looked like this:

Sounds like my DD. She got her 2 bottom teeth in at the same time at 11 1/2 months and then all of a sudden teeth popped up like crazy. About 3 weeks later ALL FOUR TOP TEETH CAME IN AT ONCE!!! It was insane. Now she is starting to get her 1 year molars. The fun never ends!!

Mine were early teethers too. It worked out great because they both had all their teeth by 16-18 months old. My oldest had 18 teeth at 12 months and my youngest had 16 teeth at 12 months.

WOW! I kind of figured that since he has nothing yet, when they do come they will all come in back to back...... IDK if I am ready for that!

When I felt that sharp little tooth! Before I could really see anything, I definitely felt it.

I know isn't it crazy to imagine little teeth when she smiles? Her xmas pics will be SOOOO damn cute. I mean, they already would be but you know what I mean.
