SUPER LONG Just need to vent- is it pg hormones or just life???
So- we closed on our first home last week. We have already painted most rooms, ripped up a carpet, moved in furniture, changed lighting fixtures and door knobs, steam cleaned the rest of the carpets and ordered new carpet to replace the one we ripped up. DH ordered the new carpet today- and spent more than I think was necessary. It's for the office- not a "focal" room. I was planning to go to a carpet store and get a remnant (it's a fairly small room- about 12x12). DH refused...I swear- he thinks we are the rockefellers!! Our extra money from closing is quickly dwindling away and we still have ALOT to do.
Add to the stress of all the house stuff- my BIL is staying with us since he split with his gf/baby momma. He is looking for a new job (he's on unemployment since he was working for her father off the books- and now isn't working at all) but he gives all his money to her.
I told DH I'd like to limit his stay to a month and he guilt tripped me- saying his brother is suicidal and feels like no one wants him and he's not going to throw him out.
He also volunteered to dog sit this weekend for my other BIL- and my niece will be spending weekends with us.
I just sat down to do some HW for school (a class I'm taking for work) and realized that I'm super far behind since I missed class last week for the closing and I have no clue what I'm doing.
I just want to go home and go to bed. But I can't- because I have to go to school then go home and do laundry and start unpacking 
DH is working nights- so it's just me and his brother- chillin' at home

I think you have a LOT going on and you're entitled to be frustrated or upset!!! Buying a home and moving is very stressful in and of itself, add in having your BIL live there, dog sitting, nieces for the weekend, etc., well things can feel overwhelming. I hope things settle down soon!!!

Enlist BIL to help you with laundry and packing...since he is staying with you.
Im sure you are just overwhelmed with all that is going on!! I dont blame you. Hang in there..

I agree! You should take the next weekend and get a prenatal massage, on DH of course. And tell DH that he needs to think about his pregnant wife now before his brother and you should be able to enjoy your new home without house guests. I understand helping a family member but lighting a fire under his butt by giving him a deadline wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing.
