Re: West Babylon Area?
Most of WB is good. There is not a lot of turnover here, meaning lots of people buy their parent's house. The schools are good, I have one kid at each level of school and I feel they get plenty of services. We have an awesome library that has tons of services for all age groups, tons of intramural sports, a community center, shopping and the Lions Club and Catholic Church set up many community events (fairs, tree lightings, etc.)
If you want to FM me about a specific neighborhood, feel free.

Re: West Babylon Area?
most of my wb friends either purchased or received their parents house, there is a small area near Sothern State and Wellwood which has a few rental houses but they are VERY well kept (dh and i all most rented there) and we even looked to buy there.
What i did find when looking was a lot of older people or children from the other children trying to get rid of the house due to illness and/or death. Many the insides are not up to date but the exteriors are amazing so expect to do some updates for a good price. Schools are good from what I have heard, no complaints from anyone who ever went there or have kids there.

I would not suggest looking at any homes north of the SS. However,..there is a super nice neighborhood just south of the SS in WB that I love!

Re: West Babylon Area?
I grew up in WB and my Dad still lives there. I think it's a great area and the schools were great as well. I WISH we could move to WB and raise our family there.
