lesson learned at the Ped. today!
So we took DD for her 6 week well visit today.
I knew she had a peepee diaper when we left and figured Id change it when we go there.
Well - I forgot.
Fast fwd to the Peds office -- we strip her down to her onsie and they put her on the scale ... 11lbs7oz (my little piggy!)
The nurse leaves and we wait for the doctor.
All of a sudden I smell poopy so I change her diaper. I pick it up and realize its REALLY heavy! It was soaked with pee and she went to town with the poop. So, as a goof we put her back on the scale after we changed her ... 10lbs13oz
Thats a 10oz difference!!!   Her diaper didnt feel that dirty or heavy and she wasnt complaining (she always cries when shes dirty!)
Anyway -- lesson learned, make sure your LO has a CLEAN diaper before you put them on the scale! I dont know why the nurse didnt check to make sure it was clean 
And we made sure they corrected her weight

 Lesson learned. My ped weighs DS without his diaper, that must be why.

My ped office has always made us strip DS down to his diaper before going to the scale, then at the scale they remove his diaper and just use a pad to cover him up so he doen't pee everywhere....

they zero it out with a 1oz subtraction for the diaper

We always have to completely strip DS down before he gets on the scale. As a newborn, he peed while naked on the scale a few times.

Mine too! DS1 used to pee or poop almost every visit!

Hahaha. my son has done this a few times - always with the same nurse! Apparently he isn't fond of her!
