So, I learned a very valuable lesson today...
And that lesson is: If you go to the Sherwin Williams paint store and ask for a paint sample, it's $5.99, but if you go to the Sherwin Williams paint store and ask for a quart of paint, it's $19.99. And guess what? They're both the same amount of paint

NOPE!!!!!!!!! Can you believe that? I'm so mad. I'll go back there, but I'll just buy the samples only

And that lesson is: If you go to the Sherwin Williams paint store and ask for a paint sample, it's $5.99, but if you go to the Sherwin Williams paint store and ask for a quart of paint, it's $19.99. And guess what? They're both the same amount of paint
I don't see how that is possible. The samples are 2oz. and a quart is 32oz.

Maybe whoever helped her the first time was new and didn't realize that a sample is 2oz and gave her the 32 oz by mistake?

I was kind of thinking that too. If that is the case, great deal (if you like the color that is...)

Well, I have three samples from them and they are all quarts.

That doesn't sound right. I've never used Sherwinn Williams, but the Benjamin Moore samples are little jars, maybe 3 oz?

This happened with me too. It was because colors I wanted were not available in the little sample bottles they sold so they had to mix it to make the samples for me.

Re: So, I learned a very valuable lesson today...
SW samples are definitely sold in quarts. not sure of price but $5.99 sounds right from what i remember. samples are only sold in one finish (can't remember which) so if you want another finish, than you have to pay for full price quart.
