Re: if you had your dd's ears pierced as an infant...
DD was 3 months old. Our ped's office doesn't do it. ( the nurses don't want to be responsible for making them uneven! haha) We went to Piercing Pagoda in the Smithhaven mall (recommended by the ladies on LIF) They were going to do both ears at once but DD kept turning her head to see what was going on ! So they did one ear and the other girl was standing by to do the other ear right away. DD was about to cry after the first ear and then they did the second ear and she just stared at the girls! They said the noise of the gun piercing is what scares them. DD didn't cry at all! she was a trooper. It was worse when she got her vaccines!! They say if you don't do it when they are infants then don't do it until they ask for it!

DD was 4 months and we had it done at her ped's office. They did it one at a time, she cried before it happened (she knew something was up!) and wailed after.
She was fine by the time we left the office.

Re: if you had your dd's ears pierced as an infant...
I had both my girls ears done the same day as their first round of shots. My oldest DD was 6 weeks and my youngest DD was 2 1/2 months old. They both got them done one ear at a time at Claire's. They both cried for like 30 seconds until I fed them and they were fine after that. It never bugged them to get them cleaned and they are now ages 2 and 3 and neither have ever had a problem with them.

Re: if you had your dd's ears pierced as an infant...
we took dd at 12 weeks old. to piercing pagoda at smithaven. the girls there were excellent i cant say enough nice things about them. they did both ears at the same time ( i wouldnt allow them to do one at a time) we went at night. gave her tylenol half hour before to help with the pain. ( dont know if this is reccommended but it worked GREAT) they pierced them, she screamed really bad then i popped in her night time bottle and she stoped crying instantly. drank her bottle and went right to sleep! it was a wonderful experience.
she doesnt pull them. or play with them they are healing great. If we have another daughter in the future we will do the same exact thing again!

Re: if you had your dd's ears pierced as an infant...
We did DD's ears when she was 3 months old. Our Ped wouldn't do it so we took her to a piercing place in our mall. They did them one at a time, and it was just like when she gets her shots... cried for a minute and it was over. She hasn't touched them once and they healed perfectly with no complications. I'm glad we got them done sooner than later.

Re: if you had your dd's ears pierced as an infant...
i did it at a jewlery store when she was 2.5 months old. for the first hole she didn't even flinch. the second one she whined for like 30 seconds and it was over with. she was a CHAMP! the only thing that was difficult was the first night because she's a belly sleeper and no matter which side she slept on she was pressing on her ears, but after that night she was completely FINE! never got infected, she never played with her ears (she doesn't even know she has them in there) and it was a complete breeze. i def suggest you get it over with now.
