stirrup leggings
Hi Ladies,
I was in Old Navy today and saw stirrup leggings. I remember when these were the style back in the 80's
Are they in style again? How are you wearing them? Just would like some ideas in case I do buy a pair.

I just bought a pair at New York and Company. I haven't worn them yet but I'm going to wear them with boots.

I think they're for high boots too. They tuck in easier.

They are in, but I am will not be wearing them. But i am pretty sure the stirrups are worn with high boots or ankle boots.

I havent seen them yet..I cant believe they are back! I found them to be uncomfortable so I wont be wearing them again even if they are back "in"

ditto! i saw them in ON yesterday (thanks Janine ) and i could not believe it  they are so uncomfortable on my feet! the last time i wore them i was in the 5th grade

I wear them with high boots, or if I really want to be ultra trendy heels and have the stirrup showing, they showed them all over the mags like that..but that is me being adventurous and a night in the city with my DH telling me I look ridiculous
ETA: I'm a slave for fashion, and just in case you didn't know, huuuuge 80's shoulder pads are coming back too

I think I will b skipping that trend. I cant imagine shoulder pads on a shrimp like me

So back in the 90's i thougt that was a huge fashion no-no to have the stirrups show....but now it's cool to be a reject from the 90's??? Who comes up with this stuff...haha...hah:

today i saw a freshmen at the college i work at with stirrups over socks (eh) and leg warmers (GASP.) I actually yelped! I think stirrups are fine if you are wearing tightish boots so they tuck in nicer and do not ride up but I would NEVER just walk out wearing them showing, don't care if it is the "it thing" and you will never see me in leg warmers.

OMG I would never wear stirrup pants again. I remember I had them in a million different colors and would wear them with scrunchie socks. THey were so uncomfortable and the knees would get all weird looking after awhile.
As for shoulder pads - I hated them then, and would never wear them - ever.
