Plaster walls: Curtain Rods
How do you hang curtain rods when the wall and window frame are plaster?
TIA

Re: Plaster walls: Curtain Rods
We have the same problem - our entire house is plaster. The previous owners had just drilled right into the plaster, but each year that goes by, the holes get a little bigger and the rods are starting to get wobbly.
I've resorted to just using tension rods in the window frames. I try not to touch the valances at all for fear that the holes will just give out. (I hope that made sense... )

Re: Plaster walls: Curtain Rods
We have plaster walls. We just drilled the screw that came with the curtain rods into the walls and it has stayed but if we ever took it out, it would not go back in without a "molly".

Re: Plaster walls: Curtain Rods
This is one of the worst things about having an old house. I just drilled and prayed it would stay, but then I realized that I should just drill the rods into the wooden frames aroudn the windows. So upstairs, we're always praying they stay up, but downstairs, they're good for a long time
