Tips for hiding pregnancy from friends at a wedding this weekend?

Hi girls...brand newly prego and have one of my best friends wedding this weekend. Going to be SO hard not to tell any of them (DH and I have decided to wait until after 1st trimester to share the news - it's our 1st). My friends always notice when someone is not drinking. I'm a social drinker so they will definitely notice at a wedding and I just don't want to deal with their comments.

Any tips for good virgin drinks to get to try and hide it? I'm thinking virgin bloody marys...what else?

Get Seltzer and tell them its a vodka tonic.... or go with frozen drinks like pina coladas or daquiries and tell the bartender to make it virigin. Hopefully they will be getting drunk so they wont even notice!!!!

Do you drink beer? I would have DH get you Odoull's from the bar.

Get ginger ale and say its Captain rum and ginger ale..that is what i did for a long time!

Cranberry and seltzer - people think it's a vodka cranberry.

Or, you could have your DH drink both drinks and pull the switcheroo (we did that a couple of times and it worked).

i LOVE cranberry and seltzer or sprite - it looks like a real drink and tastes so yummy you won't care that it's not alcoholic

i love love love sprite with a splash of orange, tastes great and looks alcoholic!

do not go with the "im on antibiotics" bit, everyone suspects when you go that route! Just enjoy

when u get your own drinks...its easy to hide

but if u are ordering with someone or if they happen to order you the drink...u can always have them order you whatever alcoholic (JUST DONT DRINK IT)

take it and walk around with it and leave it somewhere (if your hubby isnt drinking it)....then go get yourself something else

ginger ale- i always got this and said it was vanilla vodka and gingerale (which was my drink anyway!)

ITA on the cranberry and tonic/sprite.

I also did a lot of sparkling water and lime and said it was a G&T. :) If you tell the bartender s/he'll help you out too!

I always drink Seltzer with lime when Im at weddings before I tell family and friends. I usually drink vodka tonics so it works out nice.

My SIL "nursed" one beer all night and pretended to sip it. She had a beer in her hand every time I looked. I just assumed they were different beers and she looked like she was drinking, when she actually, just held the bottle to her lips.

O'Doul's in non-alcoholic and people know that so they might ask questions...... I would stick with seltzer and cranberry

Just a tip...we were out one night really early on and I ordered the cranberry and seltzer...it came in a pint size glass with a straw!! It was pretty obvious that everyone else had smaller glasses with stirrers and limes, etc.! So if you are really serious about it, make sure it's in the right glass with garnish

I had a good friends wedding the day after a stomach virus...I could not drink, you could do something like that....

At weddings this summer, I ordered cranberry with a lime in it. Even though everyone knew I was pregnant, it made me feel better about not being able to drink when everyone else was.

I would just always have a drink in your had that looks like a drink. What the ladies above mentioned are great ideas. Once they all have had a few they won't even realize that your not really drinking.

I told people I was taking antibiotics so I couldn't drink a lot. Then just get a few "mix drinks" and tell people no thanks when they ask to get you a drink because you have to take it slow.

my "drink of choice" is actually a sprite and vodka, so you can order sprite! lol works with rum and coke too.

you can also tell the bartender in the beginning of the night and tell them if you order champagne to give you sparkling cider instead.

im superstitious so at weddings i always had a small nip of the champagne for the toast. its very bad luck to toast with water.
