Lots of Questions..
Hi Ladies! I've been lurking for the past few weeks and have finally had enough, I have a few questions.
Background: DH and I have been trying for 3 months. While I know in my head that this could take some time, in my heart, it should've worked the first time and this is so difficult. Getting a BFN was probably the most disappointing feeling I have ever had.
My cycle varies from month to month, shortest is 24 days and longest (up until 2 months ago) was 28 days (in 2 years!). Since we've been trying, my cycle has been 30 days each time! GRR! So, my question is, if my cycle varies, when can I test?
WE BD'd last Sunday - Wednesday. I had EWCM on Mon, Tues, and Wed. So how do I figure out which day it was if I had 3 days of EWCM??? I feel like everyone else on here posts that they just had it one day?
Also, I have been temping - is it true that your temp. stays high after ovulation if you are pregnant??

It is a good sign you have EWCM for 3 days that is great. You will usually O on the last day of EWCM when it starts to taper off. Yes your temps usually stay above the cover line if you are pregnant. As for when to test they say to wait something like 14-18 days after the last time you BD when you think you were O'ing. Have you read Taking Charge of Your Fertility? I think it would be beneficial to you to check it out. Good luck lots of 
Also you can use the day after your EWCM is gone as 1 dpo it is not super accurate but then on 12 dpo you could try to test. I wouldn't test earlier than 12 dpo.

with temping you can confirm that you O'ed with three straight days of high temps. once you are sure you O'ed your temp should stay up.
then if you did not conceive after 10-16 DPO (your LP) your temp would drop a bit and you would get AF.
if you did conceive your temps will stay higher. they may dip and then return to high or higher levels. some people experience a triphasic rise where there temps go up further at around 9-14DPO, after implantation. others experience a slight temp dip on the day of implantation, but then the temps stay at their post-O levels.
if you arent sure of your exact O date you should wait 18 days from your guesstimated O date before you test. I dont know anyone who actually follows that rule, but it is the recommended amount of time according to some of the charting sites.

My temp dipped one day but it was only 3DPO, so too early to be due to implantation. Other than that, my temp has been rising. I have a much shorter cycle than most people, (average 26) so I might test this weekend. I am dying to know!
