OUCH-that stung a bit.......
So I pride myself on always being happy for other people's good news. Life is full of ups and downs for everyone, so I'm always glad when I hear happy things.
But I just got a call that yet ANOTHER family member is pregnant. I am SO happy for them, but this time it stung a bit and my eyes filled up for about 10 seconds.
I'm better now....I think.

I think we all feel a little twinge of pain, guilt, resentment, jealousy and of course excitement and happiness all balled up into one emotion. It's totally ok to feel that way. The important thing is to try not to show it and to only allow yourself a 10-15 minute "vent" where you can cry, reflect, etc and then pick up and move on.

I definitely know how you feel. I found out two of my friends (including one younger than me and married for less time) were both pregnant. As happy as I was, I was also ****** because I was trying and trying and nothing.
It WILL happen for you!

I totally understand... I had a miscarriage in January I was supposed to be due in august.. well starting from pretty much that day forward, it was one person after another... All together in my circle of friends....
9 other people pregnant, pretty much all due within a month of each other....
Dont get me wrong i'm thrilled for every single one of them, but why did become the 1 and 10 pregnancy that ends in miscarriage?
It's okay to hurt a bit!!

Your feelings are totally understandable. Feel free to vent - that's what LIF is for! But try to scrape together some excitement for your family. Your turn WILL come, and you're going to want them to be happy for you.

I hear ya! I'm still going through a mc but my best friend just told me she is due to be an aunt a week before I was due. It sucks but our day will come

I just went through this last night. I got AF yesterday and find out last night that my girlfirend (who has a 8 and 6 year old) is pregnant.
At first I was crazy jealous and bummed. But then I was like, ok, so I'll have my baby after her and they will still be pretty close in age. I have another friend who is TTC now and one that got pregnant by accident. Why can't I get pregnant by accident?!?!?
Anyway....I've come to terms with it. We'll all be preggers together, although some more than others, and I will probably be the last one to give birth. But I'm ok with that now.

Aw thanks ladies. I'm 100% better now. That was very silly of me. I'm so excited that the family is getting another new lil member!!
I truly try to never get upset or jealous, but sometimes emotions just take over. Thanks for letting me have my moment, and now I'm back to normal!

i totally know how you feel...i have a bunch of friends and family that are pregnant or have had children already...the worst is that my brother is 3 years younger than me, and he and his wife are expecting...i would love to have kids by now, but unfortunately i am being treated for ovarian cysts and have to take care of that first...so hugs to you and we all just have to keep our dreams alive and remember that when its our time it will happen (i write that and can totally say it, but cant convince myself to believe it) btw-im so glad my friend introduced me to this site because it has become a kind of live journal for me
