How soon can you get a closing date?

How soon can you get a closing date?
So once the CO comes through, we are ready to close.
My question is, how long does it take typically to get a date? I just want to hear some experiences.
If the CO comes through today, which it might, is it unrealistic to think that we could close end of next week?
The sellers won't be there, so the attnys, bank, and title co need to get their act together fast. I WANT TO CLOSE!!

It would be whatever date everyone is available. I think I either got notice on a Friday or Monday that we would be closing on that Wednesday. So it could even be as soon as closing the very next day.

Have all the other conditions of the mortgage commitment been met? If so then I would think probably 2 weeks or so after you get the COs.

Same here....we got notice on a Friday that our closing was Tuesday following.
We actually originally got a call on a Thursday saying it was going to be the next day; on Friday but then something came up on the bank attnys end and they had to push it.
They have to coordinate so many schedules so it's hard sometimes to get a date...but as long as you and sellers stay pretty flexible it can help out in the long run!
They have to get buyers, sellers, both their attnys, bank attny, both agents, and title closer all free on one day!

If all the conditions of the commitment have been met and there are no open title issues, it's 1-2-3. Once you get the c/o and it goes over to the bank's attorneys, the "clear title" and you get your closing date.

Once the CO comes, as long as the bank has already cleared you, the closing can be scheduled. We were cleared on Monday and closed on Thursday.
