I use it all the time. I have 3 kids so they get plenty of use out of it as well - we never leave without at least 10 books. I just donated a ton of DVDs to my library bc if I want to see the movie again, I can just rent it there and they have a huge selection of movies, it's like a video store.

I used to go weekly when I worked in the city.
now I go every few weeks. I FORCE myself to find time to read - usually right before bed. Otherwise I'd just be on the computer all the time.
I rarely buy books, so how else would I find things to read?

We use it for books about things we want to learn and for music for our IPODs. It is great and free!

I use it at least once a week. I love the fact that it is free. I actually encourage my friends and co-workers to use it as well.

Ever since we bought our house, we said for our taxes and everything else, we are using the library..I  our library and talk about it all the time..haha..I take yoga there for $5 a class, I take out books, reserve books and movies online, borrow games for the Wii..it's great!

I love the library. I'm an avid reader and books were getting expensive. I'm also a teacher so it's a great place to pick up materials.

i love our library. There are times I go weekly, I usually leave with a stack of books that I request online. I go on amazon, see what I like then search the county catalog & request what I want, my library emails me when it arrives.
I also have taken lots of programs over the years.
I just love having a great library, to me its the heart of the community and it was very important to me to live in a district with a good library when we bought our house.
I would be devastated if our library closed. Luckily, I think it is appreciated & well loved by our community.

I am a reference librarian in a public library in Suffolk County. I work in a library every day. I love being there. It has so much to offer. It is no longer just a book repository. There are so many programs, classes, access to databases, aside from the obvious books, DVD's and CD's.
And even though I work in a library, I still go to my local library with DH because he feels weird having me take out all of his books, so he got a card for our library.

I LLLLOOOOOVVVVEE to get CD's from the library to put on our Ipods. If someone tells me or DS about a good band we can just check the CD from the library.
It's also great if you want to watch a season of shows - if your library doesn't have it - they can get it from another one. We're at the library several times a week during the summer and maybe once a week during the school year.

my boy thinks i am loaded when i let him run around picking up any book he wants  that never happens at b&N
sometimes we run into DH there. that's how often i go
my boy is in library classes there
we went to a fantastic one today...i don't even know how to describe it...3 floors of a children's library.
i hate hate hate clutter, so borrowing books is perfect for us.
dh listens to audio books non stop

I'm a librarian, so I'm there every day!  Even as a kid, I loved going to the library. We lived around the corner, so I felt like a grown up walking there by myself.
I still love going into book stores and jotting down what I want to read, and just reserve it from work.
In the book store, I take mental notes of what's on the shelves and what I bought for the library. It's a good feeling to say "got that...got that....got that...." I know I'm doing a good job at collection development.

Since moving to Queens, no. When I lived on LI, I went often. Heck, there were PARKING LOTS!!! Now, the frustration of finding parking just makes me avoid my old stomping grounds.

I have been using it more often lately. Over the summer I read a lot of books and got them from the library.
I think I go through phases with it. I won't go for a year or so, then I'll start reading again and go all the time.

That's another good point. What I've started doing is finding books from NYT bestsellers list, and if I can't find it in my town's library inventory, I go buy the book. When I'm done with it, I donate it to the library so someone else can benefit.
I will say though, when I was looking for all the books by a particular author (James Patterson), my library had every one that I looked for.

LOL yeah ours has a parking lot for about 5 cars, its horrible. Luckily, its a nice walk so I would walk when I wanted to go.

As of recently I use it a lot. I realized how much I was spending on books and decided to start using the library. I'm not the type to read books over and over plus I was buying books that I ended up not even enjoying. To me, it's a waste of money so I started using the library a lot more.
me too. If I really want to keep a book I will order after from Amazon.

I use the library frequently. I commute so i use my train time to read - and i read fairly fast so i go through about a book a week.
I rarely if ever actually buy books, unless its as a gift for someone else.
i love the library!
This pretty much sums it up for me as well. I love the library and go to ours often.
