Just painted my bedroom Chestertown Buff

and I absolutely hate it......DH is going to kill me because it has been taken us forever to paint the upstairs and now I'm going to make him change the color.....sorry just needed to vent. The color looks like everyone on the block took their mustard out of their refrigerators and squirted it on my bedroom walls....so ugly! Sorry if anyone else has the color in their house I just don't like it in my room.....I think I'm going back to blue.

Re: Just painted my bedroom Chestertown Buff

We painted our large livingroom BM Concord Ivory, which is very similar to Chestertown Buff. I lliked it in the beginning but I HATE it now - I want to paint it cream/beige so badly - but the room is large and I just have to wait a little longer, or DH will kill me.

My dinning room and hallway are this color. We have an open space and dark furniture. It doesn't feel mustardy to me. Just warm and bright. Maybe after you accessorize, you might feel differently. Sorry you don't like it.

I have it in my living room and love it. But I could understand not liking it in the bedroom.

Re: Just painted my bedroom Chestertown Buff

My area rug has a mostly beige back round with some red a little bit of olive green and a muted gold color. Sounds really ugly but I promise it's not. My curtains are gold and red with gold sheer underneath. Originally I wanted to do red silk ones but chickened out afraid of it being to drastic. For a bedroom I would definitely do the red. I saw it on a design show and it looked great. The red is kind of that deep red almost maroonish. If you want to add reds in Loews has a nice area rug tat might look good. My friend has this color in her den and has Olive green carpeting and it looks really nice to Maybe go to bbb and buy a few different curtains put them up and see what you like. You can return the ones you don't like. I hope this helps.
