central ac broken
son of a b!
the compressor isn't working.
i called our home warranty co and they put in a call to a service company who will try to see if they can come today.
i told them that that is unacceptable!
it's 80 degrees in my house and rising! the vents are blowing warm air!
why does everything break when i'm home alone and when it's my vacation week?

Oh man 
I just had to get a new compressor myself. When we bought, we knew it had to be replaced eventually and in the end I think we were better off because it was soooo old!
Maybe you need freon or something like that.

we should still have a few years on the compressor. we know we have to replace the water heater and the boiler, but the compressor should not have broken so soon....
i'm still waiting for a call from the service company... sigh...

ugh that is horrible!! I hope you got it fixed - but if not and you are on vacation - why don't you pop in the car and come up here for a visit tomorrow I know the girls would love to see you! I don't have central ac but I do have window ones and it is nice and cool here

the compressor is broken and wires and plugs are melted.
it could take 7-10 days to get a new compressor installed. sh!t!!!!!
we went though our home warranty so we have to play by their rules....
pardon my french, but here's a big F-BOMB!
we won't have ac until it's fixed!!!!!

maybe you can borrow a window unit from someone, i know alot of people keep them around, you can just pop it in the window until its fixed

dh bought a portable one from homedepot and we borrowed a 2nd one from a neighbor.

That is horrible!!! Glad you were able to borrow something in the meantime. Remember you have an open invite here if you don't mind the chaos...LOL. At least after today I think it is supposed to cool down a lot to upper 70's and low 80s.
