Re: When did you switch to Level 2 nipple and why

when dd got to the correct age for them (it said on the package)... it has a slightly bugger hole and lets more formula out for them so it dosnt take as long and as much effort for them to empty the bottle

We just switched at 3 1/2 months & he's doing fine. We tried at 3 months but it gave him a lot of gas

we switched at a little older than 2 months but he is a big boy, and 6 oz was taking forever. I tried it and he did fine with it and was much less frustrated.

We switched pretty early with both kids. I usually breastfed and I had a VERy forceful let-down. So, when they drank out a bottle, it was WAY too slow and they would both struggle and get fussy. Until we switched to the next size.

2 months.
I switched because it took her 3 times the normal time to finish a bottle and she kept falling asleep while she was eating.

Re: When did you switch to Level 2 nipple and why

My babies are about 3 months and they started to drink more and it took them FOREVER to finish...so I just decided to try it..as a result, they are doing really well with it. I had one incident where my son drank to fast and threw up, so be careful with that. Also, sometimes they suck suck suck and forget to swallow what they have in their mouths or don't swallow enough times...so, if he/she does that..I would go back to level 1 for a while..just my opinion..

Re: When did you switch to Level 2 nipple and why

When DD was 2 months old. It was taking well over an hour to feed her a 5oz bottle and she was getting frustrated. We switched to the Level 2 (Born Free) and she was much happier. Now at 7 months it's starting to take a long time to feed her again, we tried the Level 3, but she took the bottle way too fast (like downed the botte in 2 minutes... I timed it), so we are stuck for a while longer with the Level 2

At about 4 weeks when we switched to the forumla with the added rice starch. Since the formula was thicker we needed a bigger nipple.
