Hi Ladies....for any of you who have used Robitussin, when do you start? how long do you take it for? and what dosage?

I haven't tried it yet, but started Clomid this month and heard it can dry out your CM....trying to avoid that!

The Robitussin will thin out your existing CM so it's said to be especially helpful if you rarely get EWCM and have mostly sticky type of CM.
It won't really create any CM for you and I believe that part of the issue with Clomid is that it dries you up (sorta similar to what antihistamines do).
That said, have you considered using Pre-Seed? It is made to act similar to CM and be condusive to sperm.
As for how much/how often to take Robitussin for those that want to try - I believe the recommendation is 2 tsp three times a day starting on CD10 or starting when you start to have CM up and through the day that it dries up.
OR you can take 1 600mg capsule of extended release Mucinex one time a day.
Just remember that the ONLY ingredient in the Robitussin you buy must be GUAFENESIN only. If you get the kind that has any other ingredient, it's likely to be something that is meant to dry your sinuses etc up, which will also dry up your CM.

Yes, I have used pre-seed during a few cycles and just stocked up on more for my Clomid cycles 
I figured I would try the Robitussin too...not sure if it will help, but might as well give it a shot! It is now or never...we go straight to IVF after this, so I need to pull out all the stops! 
Thanks for the info.! I just didn't want to start downing medicine without any info.
