BM Adagio people...could I paint my room and keep my brown wood?

i wanted it originally, then chickened out thinking I need black furniture.

I have brown wood, black hardware.

I can't take another moment of my room...I tried to get Tori Spelling's blue bedroom...my room has way too much light coming in for her duller look.

Looking for a makeover.

thanks!

While my furniture is not black, it is very dark brown or Espresso.

How dark is the wood? Is it like a darker oak, medium oak or a light wood? Do you have any pictures or examples of the stain?

Here is my room but it is fully inspired by Camacho's bedroom.

pics aren't really showing the color..but a def brown. I was also thinking of going pumpkin colored..but the room is so light with a lot of white. I don't think it would look very warm...just more confused. freaking tori spelling! lol...now I have to repaint

BM Audobon Russet is a great earthy red/burgundy color that would look great with your wood tones. We have it in our staircase/hallway with white ceilings/trim and we get a lot of light. It maintains its depth and doesn't look orangey. Check it out Chat Icon

Well I don't have Adagio, but I just wanted to show you my bedroom pics.

Link to my album

Paint is BM Brittany Blue (light slate blue) with dark cherry wood.

I think Adagio would look great in your room. It would make the room more warm instead of really cold looking with the color you have now. And your accent pieces could be burnt orange with Adagio or another slate blue/gray color. I put some burnt orange in my room in the Fall and it looks awesome. GL!Chat Icon

I think the Adagio or Brittany Blue would look great......

I'm thinking of doing one of those colors for our master bedroom - either that or something with a little more gray in it.....

I will also have brown furniture and I think we are going to do plain white linens.....

Re: BM Adagio people...could I paint my room and keep my brown wood?

I think Adagio would look beautiful. It's such a prety blue/gray color.

I found this pic on HGTV Rate My Space a while ago...I love this bedroom. I believe this color is BM Yarmouth Blue.

ETA: sorry, obviously I'm picture posting challenged!

I don't have that color in my home but it's a great color and I definitely think that your stain of Brown would go great with BM Adagio.

the brittany blue is nice, but after living in mine, I am over the blue.

DH is leaning towards pumpkin. With bamboo blinds.
