My close friends Dad just had hospice before he passed.
They came 2x's a day, same two people usually....Also the social worker came as needed and was available for the patient as well as the entire family any time they needed.
You dont need to feed them or do anything for them.
You can set up guidelines when its established as well...such as can they watch TV if DH is sleeping etc etc. They do whatever is possible to make things easier for him and also for YOU and your family and make sure to not interfere with your day to day living ( as much as thats possible based on the reason).

I am so sorry you are going through this. That being said, hospice care was truly a blessing for my family this year when my father was dying. I think how often they come varies with your needs. You are not responsible for feeding them, they take care of themselves. Many prayers for your family.

Oh Lauren, I'm so incredibly sorry.  From my experiences with hospice care, they are solely there for the patient and thier family, don't even think twice about their needs, as they are really there for your needs. All my love and prayers and thoughts go out to you

In my experience, they are wonderful people nad they will aid you in this time. As Pauline said, they will walk you thought everything, and let them do as much as they can
