BTDT and gained more then 50 pounds with first one

did you second time around as well?

I gained an obscene amount of weight with Josh.

That weight was all lost except 10 lbs...but had a hell of a year this year...added 15 more...so now I am up 25 pounds from josh's pre-pregnancy weight.

I can't gain this weight again. I feel like I am already up 25 pounds to start with.

DH thinks it just happens. We aren't unhealthy eaters. I walked daily, did exercise bike 1st pregnancy and the weight just kept coming on.

are some people just pregnancy weight gaining types?

i think so i gained 40lbs with DS and had horrible m/s the whole time. I barely ate and still gained the weight, my DH was so sweet and would tell everyone she's barely eating b/c i was so upset that people must of thought i couldn't control myself... when that was the furthest from the truth. I lost the weight from my 1st pregnancy and I am 8weeks now and up a couple pounds already and bloated. I feel like the minute I get pregnant my body starts retaining water and weight. I am also praying I dont gain as much as my last pregnancy.

I'm agreeing with your DH

I gained 60 lbs with Ryan - 60! I kept asking my MD, "are you SURE this is OK?". She said, I was thin to begin with, I was still very active and it was fine.

#2, I think I'm on the same track as before.

I'm not eating like a pig. Am I dieting? Helz no. I eat more but not like I'm going crazy - yet it still happens.

I tend not to care so much. I never exercised after Ryan (aside from walks), or dieted. I still ate like I was PG since I was nursing. It came off - 9 months PP, but it happened, on its own.

I gained almost 50lbs with DD and right now I'm about 8-10lbs behind what I was with her.

I'm not sure if it's just because I'm doing more...excersizing, yoga, running after a 2 yr old that's helping...but I don't seem to be gaining as much this time around.

last time I gained 68 I lost 5 in the last 2 weeks, so at due date I was 63 pounds.

they had me weighing in every 2 weeks from 4 months on.

I was sick the whole pregnancy.

when I read that girls are up 14 pounds at week 30...I gasp!

but 40 pounds came off instantly by the time I was a week home.

the drs made me feel so neglectful.

I really think that it just happens to some people. I gained 42 lbs with Ava. I was sick the entire time, and did not eat alot at all.

With Brody, I gained about 30 lbs. I did nothing different at all.

You will get through it. I promise!

I gained 62 lbs. with DS and I really tried not to gain as much this time, but I am up about 40 now at 31 weeks. I think it just happens. Plus I like to eat.
