Question about what happens when you come off BC?
For those of you who were taking BC pills, how long did it take for your body to ovulate again? Im on month #3 and it looks like its not going to happen again this month. 
Also, at what point would you see a doctor if you continued to not ovulate?

if you havent been o-ing have you been getting AF?
ive been off BCP since May 1 and i have not gotten AF yet. today was CD 74. i called the doc last week and im going to a lab for bloodwork tomorrow. if all comes back regular my ob/gyn will prescribe provera.
i know that doesnt really answer your question. i would say now is the time to call the doc if you are fairly certain you arent O-ing. if you havent been getting AF either i would call the doc asap.

I have a question for you - if you've been getting AF pretty regularly since stopping BC, how do you know you're not ovulating? Are you temping or using OPKs? I'm just wondering if you just think you're not o'ing, but maybe you really are. :hugs:

i O'd 3rd month after coming off BC, and AF also got a lot less predictable at that time.
My dr. told me it could easily take 3 months for your body to regulate itself after coming off BC
i wouldn't worry just yet?

Yes I've been using OPKS's since the first month.

Wish I knew....I stopped BCP in May and still haven't gotten AF. However, it sounds as if you're ovulating if you've had AF twice since stopping...Good luck!

i have a 35 day cycle (before BCP anyway!)
first month off - 35 days. 2nd month - 41 days
3rd month 27 days.
I don't think I ovulated the 2nd month (I am temping).
Its frustrating, just hang in there

I came off BC mid cycle of January 09. My cycles have been anywhere from 24-29 days. Never longer. I'm not sure if I ovulated at first. But I bought OPK"s 2months ago and they showed that I ovulated. It will be 7-8 months since stopping BC and still no pregnancy so I called this morning to go in for my annual checkup and get some advice...
