do preggie pops work?

i am loving the nausea, i really am - i never had it this early with DS and it's comforting. makes me happy that the baby is pumping me full of hormones!

but i also want it to stop

they did not for me personally but mints "helped."

p.s. I have some that I am not using if you'd like them. They aren't the actual pops but the sucking candy ones.

I feel the same way-my friend said they worked for her. What is it about them that is supposed to stop the nausea?

preggie pops actually made me puke!

The only thing that actually lightend up my nausea (it never really went away) was melon (good thing it was summer when I was newly pregnant), especially watermelon and honeydew.

nope, sorry.

try room temp water with fresh lemons...that eased about 2% of my nausea - better than anything else i tried.

i loved on the sucking candies with my DD & now I am pgnt again & still use them they work for me. My friend also use to buy ginger from Chinese Take out she use to eat it & it helped her.

YES! For me they did. Someone at work bought them for me and they really helped me get through the day. I used them before I was put of Zofran. I only liked the orange and the lemon I think. I didn't care for the sour apple.

Never tried them, but I found that, what worked, was to eat something every hour or so, something small. And while the instinct and craving is to eat carbs, that tends to make it worse, and the better choice is to nibble on things that have protein, the reason being that the nauseau tended to coincide with blood sugar swings. Carbs make the blood sugar swings worse, protein tends to stabilize the swings

That, and seltzer water in lime/lemon - that was my godsend!

i never tried them - but jolly ranchers were my best friend in the beginning! and ICES!

also, i bought these smoothies from whole foods (like odwalla, but different brand) and would drink those if i woke up to pee in the middle of the night. that helped with the early morning nausea.

IMO, they do not work, sorry.

They sort of take the edge off! I am a teacher and sucking on them kept me from throwing up while teaching (my big pregnancy fear!).

They don't eliminate the naseau, but they help you feel more settled.

Salt bagels helped the most!

They worked for me for about a week. Then I turned to Altoids...They make ginger altoids too. Water with lemon also helps. Then I was put on Zofran. Every once in a while I still feel queasy and I will suck on a preggie pop drop. Seems to help with the queasiness.
