What toys or activities do you do with your Newborn??
Just wondering what you do with your 2 week old?? My daughter is very alert even at 2 Weeks old she watches herself in the mirror I will move it and she follows it with her eyes to the other side it is crazy. I was wondering what else I can do for her. I talk to her sing etc. Any favorite music your child likes? Did you start the baby Einstein DVD's? Tummy time mats? Thanks

At 2 weeks I did not use any toys, just alot of face time and talking

we didnt really use toys at 2 weeks...
our doc said some tummy time with activity mat,
at 2 months now he has become more alert to noticing the mobile and rattles.

I have used the tummy time mat with DS and he is a little over 2 weeks. He really likes it.

I plan on doing lots of interaction with her...singing, and other things known as "tickles" and "wiggles" - it's all infant/toddler speak for different rhymes and songs. I guess it helps that I'm a music teacher by trade. This is the kind of stuff that goes on at Music Together and other mommy & me music classes, which I do plan to take her to eventually so we get the social interaction as well.
There's a book out there that I just ordered...and it comes with a CD if you're interested. Also has a few pages with suggestions for parents.
Babies Make Music
I also plan on reading to her a lot as well.

same here....i kept him well fed, dressed, etc....me - not so much! If I had a shower or a meal it was a good day. If I had a shower and a meal it was a MIRACLE!
All kidding aside, I read stories even at that age, played music, sang songs, etc.
