Sayville
Hi, all. I'm brand new to this site. DH and I are are looking to move out of the city and a friend told us about Sayville. We're looking to buy a house in the 400k range that has good schools (we have a 1 year old son) and a nice family vibe. Could we get this in Sayville? TIA!

Re: Sayville
Sounds like Sayville is for you. I think you could definitely find something in that price range in Sayville. You should take a drive out and check out the town.

Re: Sayville
There are also a lot of similar towns in the same area that you should look at as well. Bayport, Bluepoint, Bohemia, Holbrook, Ronkonkoma, etc. Same area, all good SDs, but it expands your options.

I agree with these additional areas as well....also wanted to add Lake Grove and Stony Brook if you want to go more North

Sayville is perfect for your needs. I'm biased b/c I grew up there. As a PP stated, Bayport and Blue Point are good areas to search as well.

Re: Sayville
We just moved to Sayville and I love it! Those other towns mentioned are nice as well, but they definitely don't all have the same feel as Sayville. We've only been here about a month, and I've lived in some of those other towns and Sayville defintely has more of a community feel in my opinion. I hear Bayport and Blue Point are very similar.

ITA! Sayville is just beautiful. The commute can be rough some days but many of my neighbors as well as my DH work in the city. For us it's worth the commute with what we come home to Good luck

Re: Sayville
I love Sayville too. We would live there in a heartbeat if we did not have to commute into the city everyday.
I recommend Eileen Carey Bruno Realty located in Oakdale New York 631-567-5951
She helped us find the house (in a different town) and I have to say, she worked her arse off for us.
Good luck!

This is a good point depending on where you are commuting to.

Re: Sayville
I do! James Lankowitz 631-335-7581 James was wonderful, and lives here with kids in the district so he seems to know about houses before they even come on the market!
Sayville is a great town. I am in the process of buying a house there and have lived here for 10+years. Bayport, Bluepoint, and Oakdale, are nice towns but don't have the main street that Sayville does. I love the small town, family feel here.

I <3 living in Sayville. I've lived here my entire life and really enjoyed growing up here. Now that dh and i are married, we have decided this is where we want to raise our family. It is worth the commute to the city. GL!

I love living in Sayville.
I used Manon Compitello from Prudential in Sayville. She knows the area very well - and lives in the town also!
