DS uses the playtex and born free and has no problem with either. it took a while for him to get the hang of a sippy.

Is it supposed to be tough to get liquid out of the spout of the playtex ones? I feel like there is barely any liquid coming out of it

Re: which sippy cup with handles do you rec?
I just bought the dr. browns, and gave it to DS in his highchair after spoon feeding, and he's really taken to them. It's only been about 3 days though. But he also is feeding himself with a spoon ((I guide him, but he holds it and brings it to his mouth)).

We used the straw ones. My DD never got the concept of having to actually lift the cup to get something out.

Any cup made by Munchkin! I tried all different brands, and those were the best, by far. Minimal to no leaking Easy to drink out of Great plastic sippy Great plastic straw Fun colors Inexpensive Easy to find

these are the ones i have. the liquid actually slowly pours out of the spout if i tip it over. did you pinch the valve before putting it in?

I was looking into this too for my 6 mo.
There's a site that actually has tons of reviews of various brands of bpa free sippy cups.

Yup, did pinch the valve...it just seems like nothing is coming out..I tried the nuby ones and those seemed to work better, maybe I'm just defective..LOL

Re: which sippy cup with handles do you rec?
DS took to the Munchkin and Nuby sippy cups very well. The soft spouts made the transition easier off the bottle. We did eventually go back to Playtex though because he keeps chewing through the soft spouts with his teeth, and he can't do that with a hard spout.

DD will only use the Take and Toss sippy cups. They have handles.
