Fico Scores (Buying a house)
What kind of a FICO score do you need to get a mortgage? I am a SAHM and we already have a house but we are selling and taking out more of a mortgage in only my husbands name. From experiences, what kind of FICO scores are they looking for?

I believe, in order to get the absolute best rate you need a 740 or higher.
I think every 20 points puts you in a different bracket.

I could be wrong but other factors will play a big part: income to debt ration, total income, type of debt, % downpayment, etc.

yes. Also banks rate your overall credit worthiness differently. Even if you don't have a stellar FICO score you could get a loan albeit not with the lowest rate out there.
