saw something on a car - what's your opinion?
I just saw on the back of a car,
a big "design" on the back window, those dedication type ones, to someone that passed away.
It said:
Rest in Peace ___ (name of teen)
DOB and Date of passing
Then a big butterfly..
then I couldnt read the bottom, but when I was able to make it out, realized it said (in the same pretty font) "Burn in Hell _____(apparently the full name of person that killed the loved one)..
although I cant imagine the pain and anger they are feeling towards this person, I almost felt like it took away from the calm, soothing tone of the whole thing.. and if anything, that person didnt even deserve their name in print, or deserve their name to be on the same ""memorial" as their loved one.
im not judging, i just didnt expect that at the bottom./
i know that how we grieve is so completely different from one person to another...
what are your thoughts.
so sad, this guy was not even 20.

you're right. we all grieve differently.
personally, i wouldn't even have put the memorial on the car... but that's just me and i would never judge someone who does. but you're right, imo, about putting the "bad" guy's name in the same memorial.
any death that is not because of old age is a sad thing, especially for someone so young

I've seen the memorials and always found them odd. I think the "hate" message is equally odd.

I've seen the memorial sayings but i've never seen a "hate" one like that.
sort of takes away from the message i think
not my preference, but to each their own i guess

Completely agree. I've seen those memorials and and I agree everybody grieves differently. Some put it on their car, some tattoo it on their bodies... it just depends. But as for me, I couldn't imagine adding a hate message to the end of something that's meant to be beautiful. Like a PP said, I wouldn't even desire to have the name of the person at fault near the name of my loved one, KWIM? I don't know the story though, and never will. So I'm not going to sit here & judge. But I do think it's a bit a bit odd and not in my taste.

I agree I seen them all the time when i lived in FL as they are very popular down there but I have never seen the hate one before. That is different and odd.
