i like dual sinks - DH and i *try* to get ready for bed at the same time but with one sink it is really hard Chat Icon you both can't wash your face and brush your teeth at the same time - so we always end up fighting eachother for who gets to go first Chat Icon Chat Icon so i think dual sinks would be nice....plus he can keep his stuff under the sink on his side and vice versa - now all of our stuff (razors, shaving cream, lotions, soap, blow dryer, hair gel etc.) is lumped together in the same cabinet which i hate - it would be nice to have seperate cabinets....

it wouldnt be a dealbreaker for us though - especially since you can always add another sink on later if you have to have it....

I could have written this myself! This is how we were in our apt...our house we just moved into has double sinks and I like it mostly b/c our stuff is separate under the cabinets, and b/c DH's shaving stuff isn't right by my sink...plus we can brush our teeth at the same time...or he can shave and I can put on make up at the same time....it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me but I do enjoy it Chat Icon

I grew up the last of six children. A double sink was an amazing feature!!!!

ITA!!! It's a nice to have, it definitely wouldn't cause me to walk away from a house, that's something we can always change later on.

I do find that annoying but as PP have mentioned, it's the paint colors that kill me. You're looking to spend HUNDREDS of thousands on something and you're concerned that the kitchen is green when you wanted yellow?? Chat Icon Chat Icon Sellers can't win with that kind of buyer.

I know, it's a bit ridiculous! I don't know about any of you ladies or gents, but I like being in the bathroom alone. I don't find the need with THREE bathrooms for us to be in it together getting ready. I've never had a double sink nor would I ever want one for that reason! People are crazy to walk away from a home b/c there isn't one!

Re: Question maybe it is me

I can see the value but no, it would never be a deal breaker for me. Those shows are hilarious - I find myself yelling at the people who are looking at gorgeous, huge homes with huge yards for $200,000 and they are complaining that they hate the wallpaper border or that the whirlpool tub is a little tight if they wanted to bathe all three kids at once!

We have double sinks in the bathroom, I was happy they were there when we bought it. But it was not a deal breaker.

But now If I redid the bathroom, I would go down to one sink.
we rarely are brushing out teeth at the same time & it takes alot of space.
Also now 2 sinks to clean instead of 1.

Whenever we are brushing our teeth at the same time, it always reminds me of the brady bunch show with the girls brushing their teeth at the same time Chat Icon
