A Mom in distress, what can I do to help her?

If you find out restrictions, food would be helpful. Also if you are able to do this, you can volunteer to watch her child when she goes see her husband in her country. I can't imagine traveling so much with a child. Give her you phone number and get hers. Just the ability to pick up a phone to talk to someone could do wonders.

I did offer for her DS to come, and spend the night whenever she needs, but she is trying so hard to keep him in his home, and things as normal as possible. Also, I don't think she would leave him here because that is the time the baby gets to see his dad too...I will certainly offer that though, I know my husband is willing to help anyway he can too...I am going to invite her over this weekend, and try to figure out what I can do. Also, my DH Aunt has been battling the same type of Cancer that her DH has for the past 10 years...so maybe we can talk about that too. SHe has my phone #..we talked severla times before all this happened...I am just so upset over this right now.

I think home cooked meals or gift cards would be great... I know when things get bad for a lot of people, cooking is the last thing on their mind and the last thing they have time for. Also, there are some really good immigration attorneys in NYC ( I know this from experiences in my own family with significant others from abroad) if they dont have someone helping, FM me and I will get you the info..
