Lovenox injections at 29 weeks...
I have been on lovenox 2x daily since 7 weeks. I am still giving myself injections in the belly and getting nervous that I am going to poke the baby?!?!? Has anyone been on Lovenox this late into pregnancy and continued to give themselves injections in the stomach??

you can use your upper thigh for a change in locaion thats not near the baby

I did lovenox my entire pregnancy. My belly was huge and i had a hard time finding fat to grab. I wound up doing them off to the side. Don't wory the needle is nowhere near the baby!!!

I was scared about the same thing but the doctor assured me I can't poke the baby. With ds I was on Lovenox from 8 weeks to 36 weeks and then heparin from 36-38weeks. I tried to stick to the love handles but when I had to venture outward it was not bad. Just try to pinch as best you can and jab. You won't hit your LO

yes, I was on it my whole pregnancy, there is nothing to worry about, that needle is TINY and totally safe

Jess, I am on them too.. 2x a day. You have no idea how many layers you have to go through to even be near that baby.. Dont worry one bit.. Just dont go to close to the belly button..

 im 21 weeks and am already getting scared because theres not much chub to grab! im too scared to do it in my thigh tho

Same here-you can keep using the belly. If you need to change positions because your belly is getting tight you can go for the thigh or you side.

I hear you..25 weeks here and feel the same way..less to grab onto but scared to move to the thigh..i ask my dr eveytime and he always says not to worry..they are well padded in there =)
