did anyone actually get through Southland last night?
I changed the channel at 10:38pm.
This show is SO slow and SO boring. I didn't like it, then liked it, now I don't like it again. I'm done with it...
Does anyone watch it?

I watched..
I LOVED the first episode. Keep trying to give it a chance..but I agree..SO SLOW!
I also didnt like that the rookie and his partner werent on at all last night.
Next week looks a little better.
Why did they ever take off third watch??? Best show ever! They keep trying to make shows like other shows when the original shows were so much better..makes me mad!

This show lost me the first 15 minutes in their first episode. I was very disappointed with it.

Yeah I agree...this weeks episode was  ....but I guess they are still molding the characters.....like the rookies partner has a pill popping problem, one of the other cops has a drinking problem.....another one is flirting with the teacher.....I am sure it will get better once they tell us more about the characters....
I thought last weeks was pretty good.

Noreen - YES - Third Watch - DH and I still watch the reruns. Should still be on!!
What I like better than Southland is The Unusuals....much better acting / storylines..
Though Southland does have my BF Ben Mackenzie

How HOT is Ben?!??!?!?!??! LOVE HIM!!! He actually reminds me of the young cop who came on third watch towards the end....HOTTIE!!!!!!

I watched and thought last night's episode actually told us a lot more about some of the characters than the previous episodes have. I feel like I'm learning more about them each week but I still haven't decided if I'll stick with it.
I was also wondering why the rookie and his veteran partner weren't on. 
One thing is for sure, it's no ER!! I miss it too.

Definitely agree on The Unusuals...I love the chemistry between Michael from Lost (Harold Perrineau) and the weird roommate from Friends.

I'm actualy mad about this show! I had such high hopes it would be sorta like ER meets Grey's meets Third Watch and it is so dissapointing that it s*cks. I didn't watch and removed it from the TiVO. I just can't get into it.

I agree with Cindy's comments. Southland is trying to take a little ER into its show by running simutaneous story lines on all the characters, so each episode can carry different people. I did miss seeing Ben and his partner last night, but it was nice to see how they will develop the other characters in the show.
No cop is on duty 24/7, just like the Drs, so it will be understandable that we don't see them every episode. I'm sure it will happen with the other characters as well.

ITA. DH and I love the first two shows. This most recent episode was HORRIBLE!! I'm still giving it a few more weeks!
