Anyone see a heartbeat early?
I am part of a pregnancy study, so i have to go in for an early ultra sound. Normally I would go in between 6 and 8 weeks, but I have to travel to New York for the month of may so I have to go in early. I am going in for my first u/s at 5 weeks 5 days. I know I may not see much, but did anyone see a heartbeat early, and for those who had an early u/s and saw nothing, at what week did you see something?
I won't have another appointment with my midwife until I am 12 or 13 weeks, that I don't know how I am going to hold off till then to hear the heartbeat.

with my first pregnancy i saw the HB at 5wk5d so there is a good chance you will! i also have my first appt tomorrow...not sure if the doc will want a sono but if i do i'll let you know!

I saw nothing at 5 weeks, few days (I forget exact day)...freaked out then went for 8 week app. and there he/she was with a heartbeat and all.

at 5W5D i saw a speck and the FAINTEST beginnings of a HB - that i had to strain to see. my OB saw it too.
but that was on an ancient sono machine, no idea what i would have seen on the newer one they use now.

5 weeks 6 days. But, they weren't able to hear it yet and the told me it had just started beating.

my first u/s was 5wk 1day, no HBs.
However at 6wk 1day, we saw HBs that had probably started a few days earlier, per the Dr.
There's a good chance of it!

I think it was 6 weeks and a day or two- but the doc said it was probably beating for a few days, so it can definitely work out for you.....but don't worry if it doesn't!

Earliest we saw one was with my son at 6w1d. Eta- at the sono before taht one, I think it was like 5w1d we saw a fetal pole starting.
At this PG we saw at 5weeks 4 days just sacs....7 weeks heartbeats.

all I saw was a grain of rice!  I wasn't expecting much at that time though. 2 weeks later there was a baby in there with a heartbeat!
