Am I the only woman in America who hates Louis Vuitton bags?
Sorry, I had to... the Vera Bradley post made me  .
Who cares what kind of bags people like and carry?
ETA: I'm not trying to to get people's opinions... I just thought the Vera Bradley post was kind of dumb. Everyone is going to have a preference as to what they like and dislike.

The thing about Louis bags is that every single one I see people carrying have the logo splattered all over and personally, if I'm going to carry a bag or wear sneakers or whatever with a logo ALL OVER, you better be paying ME!
I like the styles but refuse to pay to advertise for a company. And anyone who knows bags will KNOW the bag you're carrying without the logo, too.
But back to your original question...I agree. Purses are like haircuts. People get what suits them!

LV is doing something right. When most luxury goods are taking a loss, LV posted a profit because of their handbags. 
I like certain LV lines: Suhali, Nomade and Epi, which I consider to be classic in style. I'm not a fan of their canvas bags mainly because they're too common/identifiable.

now that you asked... I really don't like LV bags at all, never have. I don't get the hype surrounding brown on brown logo print.
eta: not sure why anyone would be all sensitive about other ppl's opinions. how many posts have there been on UGGs and how FUG they are - meanwhile, many on here love them.

I have several LV bags that are made of leather and have no logos on them.
They manufacture much more than just bags with logos on them.

I agree that the OP was just expressing an opinion. We all have different likes/dislikes and that's the beauty of being able to post on these boards and getting others' opinions 
That being said, I think some LV bags are ok, but I never liked the original monogram pattern. The checkerboard ones are growing on me. HOWEVER... there are SOOOOOOOOOO many great knock-off LV bags that I feel like people wouldn't necessarily assume it's real (and if I'm going to spend that kind of $$ .... people better not be wondering if it's real or fake!) ..
Also, I have noticed a lot of teenage girls using LV bags more than any other designer brand. It sort of transformed the way I view these bags, because of that
Since we are all expressing our opinions here, my favorite designer brand for bags is Burberry I know it's a love it/hate it thing because of the pattern- but I am part of the love-it population

Ah to me it makes no difference what others like or dislike. I happen to LOVE LV bags. I have several. DH laughs and tells me that they all look the same but i happen to love them. A lot of people don't care for them. I'll still wear them and buy them. Everyone's different.

Oh, I know that!  But when somebody mentions LV bags, first thing I think of is the logo series since you can't walk a mile without seeing one.

i dont hate lv but i dont really like them and wouldnt buy one, i have one cause dh bought me one with my sister in law prodding him to get it cause she loves them
i feel like the market is so saturated with them and as someone else said it has now become a status symbol amongst teenagers

They are ok. I dont hate them. Sure I would love to own one simply because they are timeless & will last forever. If I was going to drop some heavy cash on a bag, it will be a Gucci, NOT a LV.

This is the fashion and beauty board, we are constantly talking about our OPINIONS on different types of styles. That post was just asking if anyone had the same opinion on those style of bags. . .
So really, who cares?
I mean, I only carry Coach and there are people that DETEST coach - since I didn't design the bag NOR do I make any money off of them, I don't particularly care.
Oh yeah and I don't like LV bags either.

I don't hate them nor do I love them.
I just don't like having the same bag as everyone. I would rather carry around a less popular bag than a "me too" bag.
Like a pp poster said - if I was going to drop the $$ on a timeless fashion bag; it wouldn't be LV...

I agree. Once I start to see every teenage girl at the mall with a certain style bag its a sign to me that I should retire that bag.
That being said, brands don't matter to me. It's all about the style and appearance of the bag. That being said, I do own a LV bag but I do NOT like a lot of their collections as well. To each their own.
