If you reg at BRU - what highchair did you

register for?

I am having the hardest time...

I originally picked the Chicco but I read the reviews again and it seems it has more negative then positive...plus the $ seemed sort of steep (I feel bad about putting $ on my registry)...

Then I put the Graco Contempo Deco but there is a small cloth part at the top and it's cream colored with blue and brown dots...I am picturing that getting filthy...

I know the FP chairs are very popular but truthfully - I do not like the loud designs....I really don't Chat Icon Chat Icon It's just not my style...

I want one that I can wipe clean, not a cloth covered seat.

So what did you pick and why?

I have the Chicco and I'm not a fan, mostly because the divider that goes between the babies legs to keep them from falling out of the chair is attached to the tray and not the seat. If I had to pick another one it would be something more like this ....where the divider is part of the seat:

My SIL got the Connor chair..I like it but the material on the seat seemed cheap-ish - BUT if anyone out there has this and has a good review of it I am all ears! Chat Icon

See originally I was going to register for the Chicco Polly but then after reading reviews I have decided to go with the Fisher Price PP one. I know it is loud but honestly it is the most convient when it comes to cleaning & got amazing reviews.

I ended up choosing the Graco Blossom 4 in 1 seat in Bombay pattern.

Honestly, the first day we registered, I passed it by thinking it has too many parts and conversions that it must be lacking in quality. After I read the bad reviews on the Chicco that I had first picked and read the good reviews on the Blossom, I went back and gave it a second chance.

A few things that I liked...
Leatherette seat is wipeable and looks nice (I also am not a fan of the bright patterns).
The recline mechanism is easy to use with one hand and well constructed.
Height adjustment allows baby to get close to the family table.
Dishwasher safe tray insert.

Plus lots of other features that were a plus. I just noticed that BRU has a cute little demo video to show some features!

I also registered for the FP PP one. and at first when I saw it, it is a bit loud, but it looked easy to clean up which was important

Re: If you reg at BRU - what highchair did you

dude.
are you still stressing about the dang chair????
remember how I told you I loved the Graco contempo???? I really do- so leave it.. you can wash the seat- and mine is all cloth- sort of annoying cause you can't wipe it- but honestly, if you were to look @ it now, after all the embedded eggs, hotdogs, et al- it doesn't look THAT worse for the wear.

hahaha. you are too much.

as I said- I do really liike the graco contemp and Maddie does still go in it from time to time....

I like it because it folds SUPER DUPER narrow- I stash it b/w the buffet and the wall and it's perfectly out the way- that's why I wanted it... when we lived in Lynhurst, I really didn't want it out all the time.

I registered for the Graco Cozy Dinette high chair. I've read good things about it and I liked the design and material. It seems really sturdy and folds up nicely.

I cant recommend it firsthand since I havent used it yet, but its definately worth taking a look at.

I liked that one too but it looked like the chair material was fabric only? (not wipe-able)....Chat Icon

Yea, its not wipeable fabric. This was the only downside for me. But it comes off the chair and is machine washable from what I read.

We didn't want a big, bulky highchair so we decided on one that could be strapped to our dining room chair. The FP Space Saver:

I had this on my registry but then went back to the Graco Cozy Dinette (I had it on first but when my mom said it looked like it "belonged on a space ship" I questioned my decision Chat Icon ).

I registered for the Chicco Polly one. My friend has one and loves it and I really liked it the best when I looked at it in the store.

As a BTDT Parent, imo and from my own experience, I think the best high chair around is the Stokke Tripp Trapp (or the one that I have, which you can't get in the states, the Babydan Chair) Its not traditional looking, but man, it is so great, really easy to clean, really nice looking and it really really grows with your child!! Did I mention easy to clean???

My friend just recommended that chair to me. It doesn't have a tray so your child can eat at the table with you.
