Excited but also anxious...
So I take my last BC pill tonight and thenwe will be officially TTC. I have a question though...I know this is gonig to sound dumb but after 8 years of being on the pill, is my body going to know what to do on its own without the daily does of hormones from the pill? Did you girls have normal cycles after coming off the pill? TIA!

From my own experience and also friends, most do take a little while for their bodies to start having normal cycles again. Your cycles may not return for a few months and/or they might be longer than normal or just vary month to month for a while. GL!

My cycles have been different every month since I stopped the BCP in September. Everybody is different. My dr also advised me some pills take longer to regulate then others. Best of Luck!!!!

It took a few months for my cycles to straighten out, but everything seemed to "remember" its job fairly easily

i was on it for 10 years and the first three months were totally fine. I got a little wacky after that...cycles ranging from 45 days at longest to 37 days. It worked itself out in the end.
you may find its wacky for a little while but it will eventually get back to normal.

It took 8 months for my cycle to get regular again before I got pregnant. Just be prepared in case it takes a while. I had been on birth control for 4.5 years.

My cycle have been regular since coming off the pill. They have been between 26 and 28's every month since coming off the pill. Everyone is different though. And although my cycles are fairly normally I am still not pregnant and have been try for 8 months.

I was on the pill for about 13 years and my cycles were crazy in the beginning, but now they are about 25-27 days long.
