Sorry if I upset anyone who may have opened this...i didn't mean for it to be that. I just thought this man's story although horrible and sad was somewhat amazing at the same time. Figured it would be better if I removed it. Sorry again!

omg, I've been following his blog since my sister sent it to me.
You have to look at it from a not sad point of view. Yes, it's horrible, tragic and I cried my eyes out BUT they way he takes care of his daughter just amazes me...amazes me. He is an amazing, amazing father to that little girl...amazing. I love reading the stories he shares.
it's a great blog, a little hard to navigate but I would recommend people to read.

But I have to say something and I hope no one gets mad..
Sometimes people post really sad things on here about pregnancy / childbirth etc..
I don't really see the point in doing that because many ladies get upset and scared...
I know there was a disclaimer posted but I think sometimes people's curiosity gets the best of them and then they regret reading it..
I just think sometimes it's unnecessary to post those type of things..sorry.

As upsetting as this is I think it's good that it has a somewhat happy ending - plus I'm sure that the woman would want other women to hear her story and be aware of things like blood clots and pulmonary embolisms.

I completely agree. I think we all know that sad/bad things can happen. We just may not want to have them brought to our attention like this.

I am not offended at all, I just didn't want to offend anyone else or scare anyone else. I feel bad if I did...again an inspirational story of sorts and thought people might want to hear it. Since I am on this board the most I posted it here...maybe in bad judgment.

I saw the ending on Oprah last night. If I go on the Oprah website will they have his blog? My friend called me to watch it and said the father is so amazing. I really want to read up on it.

I just read the whole blog and I am hysterical. I know you had the disclaimer and I didnt read your post until i saw it was taken down, and then my curiosity got the best of me.
I think that is that most horrible story and I can't stop sobbing. Coupled with the fact that I have a clotting disorder so I am just a mess right now.
It's not your fault for posting, but I should not have read it.
What a story....it makes you think......

IMO its just like people posting they might be having a M/C and people posting things like Dont give up hope, etc when that is nothing more then false hope.
We HAVE to accept bad things happen and at least in this story there is a happy ( of sorts) ending kwim?
