Any reactions to 4th booster of Dtap?

DS has his 2 yr. check up on Tuesday the 30th and we are having his birthday part that Saturday, the 4th. I know in the past DS got a fever with the Dtap but just wondering if the 4th is the same or maybe easier on them. Does it last long or just a couple of days? Just wondering if I should wait until after his party or do you think 4 days will be enough to recover?

TIA!

Well, no experience with the 4th one but DD just had her 2nd and her dr told me that ANY vaccine can cause a reaction, even if prior ones didn't. But it's a good sign if it hadn't in the past, but not a definite. So I think that still applies to the booster.

I would make the booster for after the party most likely.

Emma's party is also Saturday, and I didn't want to chance her getting a fever or anything else, so she will go the following week. Can you believe they are going to be 2 Chat Icon Chat Icon

I know! Chat Icon Chat Icon Maybe I'll just do the 2 yr. check-up and bring him back the following week for the shot.

He is scheduled for surgery on 4/20 (to fix his circumcision) so I didnt want him to get the shot too close to his surgery either Chat Icon
