I have heard that this can happen....
but why did I have to get the call. I am a paramedic on an ambulance and without getting into details I had a call the other night and a woman delivered a baby in the toilet. She did not know she was pregnant and of course was surprised. All I want is to be pregnant and this lady had a baby, had no clue she was pregnant and did not even want a baby. She showed no emotion 
The baby was a little early but should be OK. I just wanted to take him home.

ugh... I know how you feel... all those babies who have come into the world...
All I keep telling myself is that when it does happen for us, that child will never know pain or hurt and will live in such a loving home...

It happens all the time. One of my BF's is now a drug addict, she got pregnant two different times by "accident" and now the fathers have custody of her kids and she has not seen them in months.

Oh, hun, I am so sorry-I totally can relate as an attorney who represents abused/neglected children and when I go out to see my clients (the babies), I always would cry when I drove home because I want a child so badly and would never treat my child the way these people treat theirs.

I have a hard time dealing with calls like this. I dont have to see this all to much. I give you all the credit in the world for helping children. They need a voice also!

I am also a paramedic and had that same call about 2yrs ago. Thankfully we were not TTC, but I think that no matter what it's hard to NOT let it effect you. I'm so glad your baby is ok...Mine was not so lucky

That is is hard part of our job but I always try to look at all the ones we help so many more then we loose

How do you not know you are pregnant? I was only pregnant for a few weeks and I felt the changes in my body. How do you go months without knowing!!!

These stories make me sick. My mom is a foster parent and she has had so many children come through her door and the parents always have so many children in the system. Makes me so angry, thank God for people like my mom.
