Cake im Making...
Here are the toppers I made for a puppy cake I am making...its for a first bday, it will be a blue fondant cake with brown puppy paw prints all over it...

It's just the marshmallows, powdered sugar and water. I tinted it pink and rolled it out. It was like $5, if that for the stuff. I baked a cake and put it on it and it actually tasted pretty good.

I don't think it's 5lbs, probably if it's doubled. That's a good price..can you tint that too? Is this at Michaels?

yes its 20 and right now theres a50 percent acmoore online which you can use...you just work the colring into it, you need the jarred gel ones, not liquid, if you need to add a lot of color you also work in powdered sugar, just like you would with pizza dough so its not sticky, its sooo easy, you cant mess it up...

Ahhh I used the regular food coloring for the marshmallow one and it seemed to work pretty good. I didn't have to use much though

I've made the marshmallow fondant that was posted above and it tastes much better than the Wilton, but isn't as easy to work with. I found when I added too much color, it lost some of it's functionality. It is cheaper, but it is a little annoying to make and you have to make sure you make it in advance so it can rest overnight.
I'm going to try Satin Ice next....I hear that tastes better than Wilton,but is just as easy to use.
Adorable dogs by the way! I've just started making fondant figures....so much fun!
