When would freckles appear?
I have freckles and DH does not.
How old are DC when freckles would start to appear. DS is 18 months and I see one tiny one on his chest. I don't know if he is going to get as many as I have, but I wondered when I should be on the lookout for them.

I was wondering the same thing, about freckles based on heredity, not the sun. Hope someone can answer.

I have a sh*t ton of freckles and moles and I know they are dominant....I am just waiting for DD to get them, but in my case both my hair (went from straight to curly) and my skin (went from no freckles to tons of freckles) when I hit about 6 years old.

That is what someone else told me too, about hereditary freckles. About 6 or 7...so maybe that's it.

That is what someone else told me too, about hereditary freckles. About 6 or 7...so maybe that's it.
Well then, I guess we will see what pops up in about 5 and a half years or so!!! I will have to go back and look at my pictures from when I was younger to see when the little brown spots started appearing!

Yes I had a bunch too when I was growing up & still today (in the summer). I think i was about 8.

My DD already has a few freckles one on her back one on her thigh.....I couldnt believe she has them at 18 months.. so I think they can come out at anytime.
