help! tomorrow I have an elem. teaching interview...
what are some questions they might ask...and what are some of the buz words I should use???
thanks in advance to anyone who answers!!!

Congrats!! and good luck! is this a first round interview? They may ask questions like:
-your philosophy on learning.... how you would set-up your classroom, about your past ex[periences... how you would handle parents...
I know in my district we have literacy collaborative or a balanced literacy program... including things like word study, guided reading groups.. it might be a good idea to go onto the website of the district and find out the kinds of programs they will be using...

In my district right now the buzz words are:
Collabrative model
Differentiated instruction
Tiered lessons
Stations
Those are the main ones that I can think of and how to make the lower level students rise to the level of the average to above average student while in the same class with no TAs using the above.

You may get asked how you would modify a lesson for lower level children.

I don't think they'll ask but Response to Intervention (RTI) is becoming big, not just for special ed., b/c reg. ed. and special area (reading) teachers will have to provide the responses before evaluation/classification take place.
