*Need help with window treatments pls
Not sure what type of treatment to use on this window. I have an app't to check out Hunter Douglas blinds on Saturday, but I'm not really sure if I want to spend all that $ and be locked in with a cream color blind. Anyone have any ideas??
BTW this room will be our formal living rm. Thanks! Image Attachment(s):

What about plantation shutters? I would shutter the middle three tall window panes and the two shorter square panes on either side and leave the two rounded corners bare.
You could also do window treatments on either side like this:

Its hard to say without seeing your decor. Do you need privacy, light control or just decorative?
Love the window.

Jess-I like the look of the plantation shutters in that picture, but I wasn't crazy when I saw them in the store. You think leaving the two square panes open will look okay? I feel like it will look like something is missing.
Fran...we have no decor, we still need to purchase it. So I'm open to anything. I would like the privacy at night since its on the main level. Not worried about light control, b/c the back of our house gets plenty of sun.

Honestlly I would not start a room with window teatments there are too many options. If you feel like you need a basic window cover no matter what I would go with a nutural shade.

Camacho has some great ideas. You need something that will show the arch of the top without covering it up. That's the beauty of that window!

ITA with Fran's suggestion. Decide on the basics (wall color, accent colors, furniture, area rug) before committing to window treatments. window treatments should be viewed as a finishing touch accessory and not as the main decorating element.
