Does anyone else gag alot? Is that a pregnancy symptom?

I sometimes still feel nauseous but feel better when I eat something. But I have been gagging alot...and feel like I am going to gag. Does anyone else have this? I have been congested for that past few weeks and I know some say it happens when they are pregnant, so I dont know if it is nasal drip that is making feel like I have to gag or if I am gagging just b/c I'm pregnant instead of throwing up.

If I don't eat like every hour I start to gag. I have PND from a cold and that makes me gag too.

yes ,totally. I gag which turns into a bit of dry heaving but not throwing up. Its usually when Im around food. Its very strange.

I gag every morning for a few minutes...fun fun

I also notice that if I brush my teeth first, that triggers me to gag but if I get nauseous first and gag first then I can brush my teeth w/ no issue...LOL

I gag sometimes too! It definitely is a pregnancy symptom.

oh yes... All the time. It seems to never stop unless your chewing on something.

I kind of get this gag/choking thing. It starts of as a cough and then turns into a gag.

I definitely do. I also have to eat every 2-3 hours to get the nausea to dissipate. I haven't gotten the gag reflex when I'm brushing my teeth but I have had a lot of chest congestion and post nasal drip which makes me want to gag when I start coughing. Not fun when it happens while I'm teaching my high school kids!

Seems like lately I live to gag....
If I don't eat I gag, If I do I gag, Brushing teeth is torture but I do it excessively! If I don't stay hydrated I gag. Gagging is my life!

Yes, in the first trimester, it's totally normal. I only threw up once, but I gagged for the majority of it!

i had a week where I would gag at everything. It has thankfully subsided...

At 19weeks and I still get this but only in the morning...especially if I cough. So strange...

I have been gagging every morning for the past 5 months. It happens sometimes at night when I am in the kitchen and I smell food.

I gag alot in the beginning!! I had M/S until around 15 weeks.

yes! I too am congested and the (TMI) phelgm in my throat is making me gag constantly! I also gag every morning when I brush my teeth.

OMG, every time I cough I start gagging. It is the grossest thing. I am very very very congested too! I'm glad you posted this, I thought I was crazy!

Yes. I started gagging within hours of my BFP. Then it progressed to vomitting. Since 18 weeks or so, I've stopped throwing up, but I still have gagging spells every morning.
