there is a quality inn that just opened up on jericho turnpike- right near little neck parkway, i would say it is about 5-7 minutes from LIJ.

I think all of the decent places have been mentioned. The other 3 are hot sheet motels...Gold Coast, Manhasset Motor Lodge (it's gross and across from Macy's) and the other scary one on Old Northern in Roslyn.
I think The Inn at Great Neck is pretty reasonable compared to The Andrew and Roslyn Claremont.
